Hi there, this is Miss Joanne. I am currently a year 3 student studying the Bachelor of Nursing at CUHK. I have been a part-time babysitter and child tutor for over four years, actively providing dependable childcare and encouraging young children to speak up and learn english (phonics) or putonghua (ping ying) through some learning based games and enthusiastic storytelling sessions so that children can articulate themselves creatively. As a student nurse and part-time babysitter, I have extensive knowledge of child psychology and development, which wisely prefer to utilize positive reinforcements yet instructional strategies to create a stimulating environment, where kids can maximise their potential effectively. I am a friendly, patient, and passionate individual. I am aware that either a babysitter or child tutor should provide intervention and additional support depending on the special needs of every child. Not only I am skilled in communicating with children in special needs, I am able to meet with parents one-to-one to discuss issues and organise developmental plans in order to achieve the goals we make together.
